Canada: Unemployment steady at 7.1% in June
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Canadian Unemployment Rate remained at 7.1% in June, Statistics Canada informed on Friday. This result is in line with expectations.
The number of employed people in Canada dropped by 0.4K in June, compared with the 95K rise in May but above forecasts of dropping further by 2.5K.
The Participation Rate was unchanged at 66.7%, as projected.
