AUD/NZD breaks range and drops to 1-week low

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The AUD/NZD pair moved sideways during a week and broke to the downside, reaching the lowest level in a week.

After soaring following the decision of the Reserve Bank of Australia to leave rates unchanged last week the pair stabilized and moved sideways between 1.0145 and 1.0210, from April 7 until today.

During the European session broke below 1.0145 and fell to 1.0119. Currently the pair is hovering around 1.0140, having the worst day since early April. The kiwi is among the best performers.

Data ahead

On Wednesday, economic data from China will be release including growth and retail sales, while on Thursday the Australian employment report will be publish. Both reports are likely to impact the aussie.

AUD/USD: Downside prevails overall

AUD/USD is currently trading at 0.7633 with a high of 0.7650 and a low of 0.7555.
