Australian government forecasts narrower budget deficit in 2016/17

Australian government, in its half year fiscal outlook, forecast its budget deficit for the fiscal year to June 2017 would amount to AUD 36.5 billion, down from an original AUD 37.1 billion prediction.

Treasurer Scott Morrison reiterated the country would be back to surplus by 2020/21.
