Flash: EUR/USD strength looks unsustainable - TDS
FXStreet (Bali) - According to Shaun Osborne, FX Strategist at TD Securities, does not think that EUR strength is sustainable.
Key Quotes
"The strength in EURUSD seen through the early part of the year continues the trend towards a relatively better than expected performance in the exchange rate that was evident late last year."
"Three months ago, the consensus call for EURUSD was to end Q1 at 1.32 and market-based probabilities (using Bloomberg data) put the chances of EURUSD trading above 1.37 at the end of Q1 at zero."
"We have a little time to run through the end of the quarter yet but the recent pattern of trade suggests that the EUR may once again confound the consensus. We do not think that EUR strength is sustainable, however."
