More Japanese firms are raising prices - Reuters poll

A growing number of Japanese firms are raising prices in response to jump in materials, transportation and labour costs, the Reuters poll shows.

45 percent of firms in the May 9-21 Reuters Corporate Survey said they plan to raise prices in the current financial year vs 37 percent in the January survey.

54 percent plan to keep prices steady vs 64 percent in January.
