Eurogroup's Dijsselbloem: High expectations for ECB action not healthy

FXStreet (Łódź) - Eurogroup head Jeroen Dijsselbloem said on Tuesday at a meeting of the Institute of International Finance in London that Eurozone countries rely on the ECB too much to solve their problems and that the high expectations for action in today's monetary policy announcement is “unhealthy.”

Dijsselbloem also expressed his worries that the triumph of fringe eurosceptic parties in the elections to the European Parliament could result in national government's slowing down or dropping reforms. “Banking Union implementation could be difficult,” he said.

He added that the UK should stay in the European Union and expressed hope for the country to return to the center of the European policy meetings.
